My travel experiences have shaped my belief that travel is a privilege, one that is out of reach for many people. Showing gratitude for this privilege is part of our philosophy at Amici Collective, and why we give back to communities in need with every purchase.

Across the world, millions of people are living without access to safe drinking water and sanitation. This is a cause that I feel passionately about after seeing the health impacts, social problems and economic disadvantages facing communities without access to this basic need throughout my travels in Africa. Often the responsibility of collecting water falls to young girls, causing them to miss school, and putting them in danger as they walk long distances to collection points. Providing access to safe drinking water and sanitation is directly linked to the education and empowerment of young girls around the world.

Amici Collective is a proud supporter of WaterAid, whose mission is to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere, within a generation.

With every purchase you make, we donate $1 to WaterAid Australia. $1 may seem insignificant against the scale of the challenge, but in a world where 30% of people live on just $1 a day, every dollar counts. 

Thanks to your support this year, we’ve made a donation that helps provide training for one woman to maintain her village water points. Not only does this provide clean, safe water for the village, it gives her an important role in the community, and a source of income.
